Bro. Cassian Vigna, born March 19, 1918, hailed from Leechburg, Pennsylvania. After working for several years in Chicago, he entered the Abbey of Gethsemani in September, 1950. In community, he served generously and quietly as printer, porter, cook. A beloved brother and endearing character whose wry wit and faithful spirit will long be remembered, Bro. Cassian passed to the Lord on July 15, 2007. May he now know the delight of being with Jesus for ever!
