The Cistercian Cohort returned to Gethsemani for their second session
from Friday the 7th of January through Sunday the 9th.
This session continues an ongoing educational program the
region is offering through the cooperation of St. John's Collegeville
in Minnesota. The participants have the opportunity to earn an
M.A. in monastic studies.
The course for this session is part 2 of an Introduction to Christian
Philosophy, continuing the course covered in the September semester.
Professor Fr. Dale Launderville, OSB returns as the instructor. The
participants for this session are: Sr. Karen Arce from Redwoods Abbey,
Br. Raphael Flores from New Clairvaux (Vina), Br. Todd Koessel from Our
Lady of Guadalupe (Oregon), Br. John Flynn from St. Benedict's Abbey
(Snowmass), Br. Juan Diego Lavado and Br. Nicholas Koenig
from New Melleray, Sr. Kathy Ullrich from Our Lady of the Angels (Crozet),
Sr. Grace Remington from Our Lady of the Mississippi, Br. Gabriel Lumpkin,
Br. Thomas Richards and Br. Gregory Escardo from Gethsemani, and Br. Bruno
Bartholomew from the Abbey of Illah in Nigeria, who is at Gethsemani
for an extended stay.
