The community celebrated Passion Sunday today. The service began outside with
readings and the blessing of palm branches. Then the community and guests
processed inside.
The highlight of the Passion Sunday mass is the reading of the passion narrative
from one of the gospels. Memebers of the community take various roles in the
reading. This year, we heard the passion according to St. Matthew.
The procession and the reading prepare us for the Easter Triduum beginning
Thursday and reaching a climax on the Easter Vigil, beginning Saturday night
and stretching past midnight into Sunday.
