Fr. Michael Plekon gave three conferences to the community, from
the 27th through the 29th of September.
He spoke about ordinary holiness and the saints who exemplify it.
Ordinary holiness is found in everday situations, in ordinary
women and men, and is therefore all around us, not just in a few
extraordinary people whom we have officially designated as saints.
Fr. Michael is a priest of the Orthodox Church in America and a
professor of sociology and anthropology at Baruch College, part of
the City University of New York.
He is the author of Living Icons, Hidden Holiness
and many other books and articles.
