Fr. Elias has been asked to deliver the annual Advent conferences for the
Benedictine St. Meinrad Archabbey community in Indiana on successive
Mondays, the 7th and 14th.
He theme is the various "comings" of Christ which we contemplate at Advent.
The first coming and the final coming are obvious, but particularly dear
to the Cistercian fathers is the "middle" coming, by which Jesus comes into
the hearts of each individual.
The Abbey of Gethsemani has enjoyed a long and fruitful friendship with
the Archabbey of St. Meinrad.
